An experience in the making

Places Worth Getting Lost In.

One spectacular haunt, or a whole night of exploring? FrightScream is designed to fit the place we find. Here's what we're dreaming up. It's a concept, not a confirmed lineup.

01 · Scare

The Haunted Houses

Step out of the ordinary and into carefully built worlds: shadowed halls, crumbling crypts, strange characters and moments of quiet dread before the scare. Depending on the site, that could be one sprawling indoor haunt or a scream park of several distinct ones. Either way: real sets, practical effects and live actors.

  • Original characters and stories, not movie knockoffs
  • Built-out sets with practical effects
  • Timed entry in small groups

02 · Ride

The Haunted Hayride

Climb onto the wagon and roll into the dark on a loop past scenes you'll only half see. Fog in the low spots, lanterns swinging in the trees, and something keeping pace just off the path.

03 · Walk

The Haunted Trail

Leave the lights behind and walk it yourself. A winding path through the woods, lit by the odd torch, where every bend hides a new scene and the trees aren't always trees. Great for wooded or open land.

  • Small groups, timed entry
  • Works on wooded land, farms and fairgrounds
  • Pairs well with a hayride or indoor haunt

04 · Glow

The Pumpkin Festival

Not every Halloween night needs a scream. Wander a path lined with thousands of glowing, hand-carved pumpkins: towering sculptures, themed scenes and plenty of photo spots. It's built for families, date nights and anyone who loves October more than they love being chased.

  • Family-friendly, no actors
  • Early-evening hours
  • Works in a hall, a field or a large lot

05 · Gather

The Midway

Halloween isn't only about being scared. The midway is where your night out happens: local food and drinks, oddities, photo spots, live entertainment and somewhere to regroup between attractions. Some nights may be 21+ in wine country style.

06 · Explore

The Monster Museum

Take a lantern and walk through the world's monsters: classic creatures, cryptids and folklore from many cultures, plus a few that are strictly local. Dioramas, sculpted figures and curious artifacts, with a scare or two waiting in the corners. Designed to stay open beyond October.
